About the product

The Cyesha Coffee Washing Station is located along the forested shores of Lake Kivu in Rwanda’s Western Province. Established in 2022, it is operated by brothers Karthick Anbalagan and Gaudam Anbalagan, founders of Muraho Coffee. Muraho operates four washing stations in Nyamasheke District and was among the first in Rwanda to legally export natural and honey-processed coffees in 2016.

Around 470 smallholder farmers deliver their cherries to Cyesha during the March–May harvest season. Processing uses modern Penagos Ecoline equipment, dual water tanks and raised drying beds. Cool lake breezes, regular rainfall and steady sunlight around Lake Kivu contribute to a balanced, soft and velvety cup with a sweet, berry-driven character.
