About the product

Finca El Jardín sits on the Fraijanes plateau, near the Pacaya volcano, whose ash continues to feed the soil with minerals. The del Cid family has been connected to the farm for more than a century, since Pablo’s great-grandfather bought the land in 1918. Today, Pablo and his family represent the third and fourth generations caring for Finca El Jardín.

When coffee prices dropped, many neighbouring farms replaced coffee trees with avocados. Pablo chose a different path, focusing on fully ripe cherries, building drying greenhouses and introducing new processing methods. After meeting Eva from Lithuania while studying in Sweden, the two returned to Guatemala and took over the farm. In 2024, their work earned international recognition at their first Cup of Excellence, where they placed 3rd in the One of a Kind category with a score of 89.23 points.
