Bernardina Santa Juana

Bernardina has a remarkable discovery story. In 2012, Café Pacas agronomist Ruperto Bernardino Merche noticed a handful of coffee trees on a Café Pacas farm that were unlike any others. The variety was later named in his honour and remains grown exclusively by the Pacas family, making it one of specialty coffee’s rarest cultivars. This lot comes from the Pacas family’s historic Santa Juana farm and is naturally processed.

Floral, peachy and beautifully delicate, the coffee combines remarkable depth with layered complexity. It is delicate and clean yet beautifully weighty, with a structured acidity and a buttery richness that brings an oily texture and generous body. Lilac, orange blossom and honey fill the aromatics, followed by a long, peachy and floral finish.
